Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate)

Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate, commonly known as Epsom Salts, is manufactured adjacent to the magnesite mining operation. Production involves mixing raw magnesite with sulphuric acid to form a magnesium sulphate solution which is purified, crystallised and dried to make both Pharmaceutical and Technical grades of Epsom salts. The magnesium sulphate plant produces in excess of 600 tons per month of Epsom salts consisting of both Technical and BP quality. The product is further graded per particle size into coarse, medium and fine size fractions. The main uses for magnesium sulphate ranges from application in the Pulp and Paper Industry to fertilizers and human consumption.  The product is packed per customer request in bulk bags or 25 kg bags and can be stretch wrapped and or palletized if required.  The magnesium sulphate is registered as a farm feed and fertilizer additive with the Department of Agriculture.
